Dr. Marco Villegas

I hold a bachelor's degree in Environmental Horticulture from the Universidad Autónoma de Querétaro, a master's in Horticulture and a PhD in Protected Agriculture from the Universidad Autónoma Agraria Antonio Narro.

My career has unfolded across research, teaching and the public communication of plant science, with a special interest in the anatomy, physiology and production of ornamental plants.

I am the founder and director of Flowers Man, Estudio Botánico, a space dedicated to making scientific knowledge about plants accessible through courses, lectures, consulting and environmental education projects. I also serve as a manuscript reviewer for scientific journals and collaborate on flora conservation and outreach initiatives.

I believe that understanding plants is the first step toward valuing and conserving them; that is why my work seeks to build a bridge between science, education and society.
